Travelling between the UK and Portugal

    If you have had two doses of an approved vaccine you do not need to test before travelling to Portugal but you must present your NHS vaccine certificate. I would suggest having a print-out as well as using the app.

    On your return to the UK you must take a Day 2 test, which can be either PCR of lateral flow, but the latter is simpler and cheaper. See this page on the GOV.UK site.

    You must complete a passenger locator form before travelling in either direction. For the outward journey this must be done within 72 hours of your departure, for the return journey it must be within 48 hours, and include the test reference.
