    Tried out this new wine bar that used to be Terroir and is opposite Primavera at the top of restaurant hill in Carvoeiro. Warm and welcoming decor. It offers a big range of great Portuguese wines by glass and the bottle so you can have a good wine tasting evening. It also offers tasty hot and cold tapas. It opened on Boxing Day and is already popular so worth booking ahead. (00351 282 075382). Maybe good for a RB wine tasting session?

    Also if you have not tried it yet. The Earth Cafe, opposite Primavera on the corner of the road down to Algar Seco is deservedly hugely popular for its fresh and healthy food, wine and soft drinks and relaxed layout that is great for couples and families. Open for breakfast, lunch and tea (not dinner). Also has great gifts.
